Waldenwoods is located in Howell, Michigan, nestled along the private, spring-fed Lake Walden, with easy access from Metro Detroit, Ann Arbor, Flint, and Lansing.

What types of events can Waldenwoods host?

Waldenwoods hosts weddings, business meetings, corporate celebrations, social gatherings, showers, retreats, and any type of special occasion.

Is parking available for guests?

Yes, parking is complimentary for all event guests.

Is on-site lodging available for events?

Yes, Waldenwoods offers charming on-site lodging, including Sunshine Lodge, Friendship Lodge, and Hilltop Cottage.

Can we bring in our own caterer and vendors?

Waldenwoods provides full-service catering and does not allow outside caterers. For other services, such as decorators, musicians, DJs, and photographers, you are free to use the vendors of your choice as long as they are licensed and insured. Click here for our recommended vendor list.

Can we have our ceremony outdoors?

Yes! Ceremonies can be held lakeside on our beautiful front lawn, weather permitting.

What happens if it rains on the day of our outdoor ceremony?

We’ll make a final weather decision one hour before your ceremony. If needed, the ceremony will be moved inside to your reception venue, keeping everything seamless and comfortable.

What spaces are available for wedding receptions?

Options include Cromaine Hall (indoor, year-round), Lakeview Tent (seasonal, lakeside), and Sunshine Cove (seasonal, covered pavilion).

What is included with my wedding reception booking?

Six hours of hall rental, hors d’oeuvres, dinner selections, tables, chairs, linens, silverware, glassware, and a complimentary tasting event.

Can we add extra hall and bar time to our event?

Yes! Additional hall and bar time is available for an added fee.

Is there a place for the wedding party to get ready?

Yes! We have getting-ready suites where the couple and wedding party can relax and prepare for the big day.

Can we host a rehearsal dinner at Waldenwoods?

Yes! Waldenwoods offers several venue options for rehearsal dinners, and the venue fee is waived for couples hosting their wedding with us.

What if we need audio-visual equipment for our event?

Audio-visual equipment is available for rent, and our team provides setup assistance.

What is the guest capacity for events?

Cromaine Hall hosts up to 250 guests, Lakeview Tent hosts up to 300 guests, Sunshine Cove hosts up to 150 guests, and the Bellringer Room hosts up to 40 guests.

Is Wi-Fi available?

Yes, complimentary Wi-Fi is available for all guests.

Is the venue accessible for guests with disabilities?

Many of our event spaces and lodging options are wheelchair accessible; however, please note that the Bellringer Room and Lakeview Room are located on the upper level and are accessible only by stairs.

Is parking available for guests?

Yes, parking is complimentary for all event guests.

What is included with room setup?

Waldenwoods provides tables, chairs, lap-length white or ivory linens, napkins, silverware, and glassware.
