We had our wedding in Cromaine Hall last year and loved this venue. We utilized the on-site lodging, having our rehearsal dinner there, and it was so nice and fun to have everything in one spot. Our only negative was with choosing a plated dinner — it seemed to take a bit longer and some guests said their food was cold. If I could go back, I think the buffet option is the way to go! (and it’s easier from a planning standpoint vs having everyone tell you their meal choice). Their food is good otherwise and I received great services and help in planning the day from everyone who worked there.

I am very happy we ended up booking our wedding with Waldenwoods for our wedding this September. The venue is beyond beautiful and we had the tent wedding of our dreams! We had our reception in the lakeview tent, which is heated/has fans and a solid floor (great for dancing). The staff were responsive to the many questions I had right from the beginning. They were extremely accommodating to our needs. They offer complimentary tasting, but also we were able to book a personalized tasting, which was amazing. Any chance we can get to go to Waldenwoods, we will take it! We stayed on the property the whole weekend, renting out the friendship lodge, sunshine lodge, and hillside cottage. We had over 40 people stay on the property Friday and Saturday, and everyone had a blast. They offer a year Waldenwoods membership after your get married, and we will definitely be taking advantage of that. Although there may be other weddings that can occur on the same weekend, it felt very private and we could barely hear the other party. I liked that they had lots of food options, a great house bar package, and came with vendor recommendations. We had a little issue with not having enough chairs from their exclusive vendor, but Waldenwoods was quick to fix the issue. Would definitely recommend Waldenwoods for a wedding or any large event!

We were recently married at Waldenwoods on September 29th, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience. Our final details meeting, all of our phone calls, our rehearsal, the day off – everyone was so wonderful and professional. Jenna was our coordinator for the day and she was so warm and kind and she really knew her stuff. We received so many compliments on how beautiful the ceremony site was, and everyone raved about the food! The servers and bartenders were wonderful. The venue even saved part of our wedding cake for us in a to-go container, which was such a pleasant surprise. They were always so prompt and professional responding to my many many emails leading up to the wedding, and even let us make changes to our table layout the day before the wedding after having a few last minute guests cancel. Book this beautiful venue! You will not regret it!The staff did a wonderful job as well.

We had our wedding at Waldenwoods almost 2 weeks ago and I could not be happier to have chosen this location for my venue. From the very beginning when we shopped venues – Waldenwoods stood out as being so easy and flexible. The tour was great, we didn’t feel any pressure – we were able to hold a date for a few days without issue, there wasn’t a 50 page contract of rules and regulations to sign. We pretty much instantly decided this would be our venue after seeing it. Throughout the entire wedding planning process – Waldenwoods was AMAZING to work with!!! Every time I had a question, I could reach out via email or by phone – I received a response within probably 30 minutes. I was able to come up multiple times to show my mother and MIL the venue, they were always accommodating. The paperwork, prep, payment etc. was seamless, I never had any issues. The best customer service. The day of was truly a dream – the venue was beyond gorgeous and romantic (we had ours inside Cromaine). I have to call out the food too – normally any wedding I go to, I don’t have high expectations however after we went to the tasting and loved everything, I knew it was going to be amazinggggg and our guests agreed. I received multiple compliments that we had the best wedding food – from the appetizers to the entrée and sides. The best feedback I received was that one of our guests didn’t expect the filet to be so tender so when he cut in, the filet flew off his plate and he STILL ate it because he said it was that good – LOL!!! Lastly, we rented the Friendship Lodge and a block of rooms at the Sunshine Lodge and this was SO awesome to have. After the reception, we had a fire with 25+ people talking about the night and then was able to see everyone out in the morning versus an abrupt ending – I loved this! Waldenwoods – thank you for providing the space for an absolute dream day for me!!!

Waldenwoods did an amazing job! They were extremely organized and made us feel so special! Their event director made us feel so special by having a private tasting for us since we did not get to try many of the food at our event tasting. We have to eat gluten free and dairy free so there were not many options for us at the tasting. Their director, Anne, invited us back to have a special tasting to accommodate our dietary needs. The chef was so nice and came up to talk with us about our food for our wedding and even gave us gluten free rolls, which he also served at our wedding! Yum! Our day of coordinator held our rehearsal and ceremony and was extremely organized and helpful! From the appetizers to the salad to the entrees, the food was amazing! We were so glad that they could accommodate our dietary needs. Everything ran so smoothly during the day and all of the staff were nice during cocktail hour and dinner. Staff brought over a plate of appetizers to our table in the event that we did not get any since we were busy talking and taking pictures during cocktail hour. Our guests raved about our food and drinks and said that this was one of their favorite weddings! Thank you for making our wedding day so special and memorable!

People can’t stop talking about how beautiful our wedding was. The lakefront is a perfect place for ceremonies. The staff was excellent and helped make sure everything ran smoothly. The food was also very good, and any dietary issues were accommodated for with no issues.

From the moment my husband and I walked into Waldenwoods, we knew we wanted to have our wedding ceremony and reception there. Waldenwoods checked every box we had going into our visit. We wanted a venue that was not like anything else (i.e. four white walls). Cromaine Hall spoke for itself with the beautiful wood paneled walls, large fireplaces, and floor to ceiling windows. Numerous guests first statement to us during our reception was, “This venue is beautiful”. We were extremely satisfied with our selection of food. The staff and our event coordinator (Jenna) were very responsive to our needs and requests, and gave us so much support to us on the day of the wedding. This short review cannot fully describe how happy we are that we decided to go with Waldenwoods. We highly recommend this venue.

Waldenwoods was the absolute perfect venue. They have the option to include anything we wanted so we didn’t need to worry about finding outside vendors. The food was delicious and their attention to detail for food allergies was greatly appreciated. They were very easy to communicate with and we received a prompt response to our questions every day of the week. The staff was professional and helpful beforehand as well as on our wedding day. The fireplaces and lighting provided the perfect ambiance to a winter/very early spring wedding. Our guests loved having the option to stay on site afterwards. Highly recommend!

My husband and I just had our wedding (and reception) at Waldenwoods’ Cromaine Hall on 11.30.24 and we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out! There was so much praise that was being voiced from our guests regarding the atmosphere, the food and the service provided by the Waldenwoods’ staff. From day 1, the communication we had received from Waldenwoods during the planning period was amazing. We did end up renting the Hilltop Cottage as well and we were impressed with the cleanliness of the cottage and how cozy it was! I couldn’t imagine having booked anywhere else for our wedding!

Walden woods and their staff was amazing we had the best day and wedding experience with them they communicate so well, has excellent staff members who always answer question promptly very professional the most gorgeous wedding venue! they have amazing food we had several people tell us it was the best wedding food they have ever had. Had a celebration for the MVCA National Honor Society in the banquet center this evening, and I must say the food was exceptional and the atmosphere beautiful! I highly recommend this banquet center and the food! The staff did a wonderful job as well. I would give it 10 stars!!

As a wedding DJ I get to visit allot of venues. Waldenwoods everytime is at the top of the list for being an awesome venue. Staff is amazing! Easy to work with and go team mentality. The lake is gorgeous and creates the magical backdrop to unforgettable wedding. The food is honestly best around. So many delicious options. 3 stunning spaces to host your event you really can’t go wrong with Waldenwoods. Highly recommend!

Waldenwoods is a gorgeous wedding venue! I highly recommend it to any couples who love nature and who also love classy beautiful buildings because Waldenwoods is the perfect mix plus it’s gorgeous, warm and cozy inside with lots of natural light and beautiful lights up year round. Great food, great staff, and great experiences there time and time again!
